Government allows 10-day paternity leave for expectant dads

The government has affirmed 10-day paternity leave for its male representatives, refering to a service of human rights official.

Rabiya Javeri Agha, the service of human rights secretary, said that a proviso has been added to the guidelines of the National Commission on the Status of Women in such manner.

The recently included provision says that “a male worker in standard administration will be permitted paternity leave for a time of 10 days with full pay and recompenses outside his leave account from the date of his better half’s control.”

In the interim, pregnant female representatives will be permitted 90-day maternity leaves similarly as previously, the human rights official included.
